SadDoLLs
SadDoLLs is a greek gothic metal band formed in 2006 as a HIM tribute. After a few live performances and material composing the band recorded the E.P. Dead In The Dollhouse in 2007, gaining positive reviews from the press. In April of 2008 the band was the support act for Lacrimas Profundere's gig in Athens. The band has two full length albums. The first, called "About Darkness", was released in Europe by the Greek Label Emotion Art music and the most recent one, "Happy Deathday", was released on January 20, 2012 by the Italian Label Lunatic Asylum Records and Twilight worldwide.
Their debut album is called "About Darkness", it includes 12 tracks and has a total length of almost 50 minutes. The whole album development took over 12 months to complete throughout 2008-2009, combining the great cooperation and ideas between the band and "Fragile Studios"
In 2008 SadDoLLs signed with "Emotion Art Music". Under their promotion and management, the album's release was set for October 2009 along with two video clips "Watch me crawl behind" & "Misery". The band also had two live appearances on Greek TV channel shows such as MAD's "Mad Day Live" and Ant1's "Radio Arvyla".In September of 2009, SadDoLLs had the honour to open the gig for "Paradise Lost" in Athens, giving a great performance and receiving very good reviews. That was a great chance for the band to promote the new album and become more famous.
In the mid of October of 2011 SadDoLLs finally finished their new album called "Happy Deathday".The band currently signed with the Italian Record label "Lunatic Asylum Records" and their promotion & management in Germany, will be handled by Silke Yli Sirnio(Ex-manager of the Finnish band HIM & P.R at NuclearBlast Records).Concerning the new album,"Happy Deathday" we can say that the new record has a big variety of influences and styles combined with an agressive-heavy sound along with electronic elements. To describe it better,it sounds like Killswitch Engage playing HIM's Razorblade Romance Album.
