DANCEANYWAY
The company “DANCEANYWAY” was born in October 2011 at the Department of Theatre Studies, University of Peloponnese. Indeed, we decided to create this company for a showcase presented as part of our exams for the module ‘’Introduction to Directing: Praxis” supervised by Αννα Τσιχλι.
So, this is a young company just waiting to create. It is the result of meeting of people with the same wishes, the same need, the same desire to work from their bodies in a theatrical form. It is also the testimony of a creative shared between Greece and France. This mix of nationality does more diversified, more generous and more alive the work of our company.
Our own work is a fusion between dance and theatre, a work between the movements and the musicality, a work with an aesthetic atmosphere.
All these experiences added to those of the company’s members do our strength, our originality and our diversity.
Our first work was from a lesson where we had to direct an extract of this play in the manner of a director. We have chosen Pina Bausch.
We worked a lot about the costumes, the music, the material to use on stage, the way to move on stage… This work started to become ours and less from Pina Bausch. We decided to do the entire play, not the real but to be inspired and to do our own work.

To The Beat Of The Forest
We presents “To the Beat of the Forest” based on Midnight Summer dream of William Shakespeare.
The Story :
Hermia and Lysandre flee their life in their city in order to live completely their love. Demetrius follow them because he loves Hermia and Helene follow Demetrius, the man she loves. It’s here where our story begins…
They arrive in the forest and shake the quiet life of its residents. Between poison and transformation, between fight and passion, those strange beings of the forest will take part of the stories of our four citizens…
