Venetia Ioakeim
Venetia Ioakim was born in Athens. Her mother was born in Brazil and her father at Piraeus. Herself she must ultimately be a strange and peculiar combination of multicultural influences ranging from Latin America and Eastern Europe to Minor Asia and certainly Greece.
She has studied Economics and Business Management. Disappointed by the nature of finance sciences, which she mistakenly chose to follow, she started questioning herself what was it that she really wanted to do and she realised that it was the combination of her two favourite activities she had as a child, painting and the creation of her own clothes for her dolls…
So at the same time with her studies in finances she started taking lessons in fashion designing and jewellery creation as well as photography. Venetia’s second passion following fashion is music and she often borrows names for her clothes from song titles, band names and lyrics and at the same time she’s an indie dj .
The design of her clothes is characterized by originality, long-lastingness, range of styles and the use of unique patterns. Particularly playful and appearing only in limited numbers her creations offer a day-to-night approach with a vivid sense of humour.
She despises the “fake”, glamorous world of fashion and she prefers creating her outfits for women who have a mind of their own and an innate sense of style, who are not afraid to experiment and adopt different roles through their clothes…

Unique clothing
The most important element concerning Venetia Ioakim's clothes is the minimum reproduction of each piece (2 to maximum 10 times each), making thus each piece of clothing unique while at the same time really affordable.
The designer herself considers each one of her creations a piece of art starting from the initial conception of the idea, the finding of unique materials, the hand-made creation of the patterns and the final refinement of each garment with needle and thread. For the sewing of all her clothes she always uses a close and experienced colleague, avoiding hence outwork tailoring.
At the end each piece is given its own name, its own soundtrack, its own breath of life, starring in the most beautiful times of your life...
