This project questions the body in his urban environment and mostly the actual situation.
It’s about our relation to what is surrounding us and how it reflects in the bodies.
As a Greek artist leaving in France, the actual statement leads me to meet and to question Greek people by asking: “what is the face of Greece? What faces does she reflect” ? “What relationship between body and landscape”?
The body’s face is what he(she)’s perceiving and how he or she is perceiving himself (herself) in the environment?
What is the place of the body? Which place do I choose to give him?...
I make a photography with each person; the face, disappears behind a mirror which reflects what is facing him (her).
The photographs I choose to make, are with people with no face, the face is replaced by the reflexion of the surrounding. They are/become what they’re looking and how they perceive.
Into this frame of the mirror, what is at stake is how people question and are awarded about where they choose to place themselves, and how they interact with their environment. Same frame but different points of view.
The photography of all this situation is the eye out of the frame.
