Mission of the Athens Fringe Fashion is empowerment, support and promotion of Greek artists and designers within and outside the country. We believe in the talent and artistic quality of  young Greek designers and we try to build bridges between artists , public and the fashion industry in Greece and internationally . That’s why  we create  conditions of enhancement , empowerment and promotion of Greek creation in fashion in the following ways :

1. Live

Twice a year, for 10 days in May and 10 days of October , we organize the Fringe Fashion Live with a series of catwalk shows (Designer Highlights and Trends Catwalks), pop-up shops, and parallel events in highly artistic form, including   elements of  dance, theater, music and visual interventions. The numerous artists of Fringe Network, work with young designers and present together the new collections of the participating designers with the most original and imaginative ways. At the same time, we organize a series of seminars, competitions, courses, cultural events, professional networking meetings and parties, all in cooperation with the most renowned professionals.

2. Community

The designers of our network have the ability to participate in a vibrant and active community. Through our strong online platform, young designers can display and promote their work , present their professional profile, show off their new and previous collections , collaborate with hundreds of artists and colleagues who are already members of the Fringe community  and stay informed about specific meetings - events organized by the Athens Fringe.

3. Industry

Fringe Fashion Industry lays the foundations for networking and promotion of all new designers. In each Fringe Fashion Live, we invite professionals (wholesalers, buyers, bloggers, media) , which observe and evaluate the work of the participants with cooperation opportunities . At the same time, we develop a mechanism of continuous information of members regarding networking opportunities and presentation of their work in Greece and internationally. Finally, our team is responsible of organizing professional seminars to prepare designers and promote their work abroad through a network of contacts that we develop and constantly expand. Also, every year we give the chance to a designer to show his/her work in showrooms in Athens and London, providing the guidance and services to promote their collection.

4. Funding

During the Fringe Fashion Live, we create different Showrooms in the city center, so that the public of Athens, mass media and professionals in the area of fashion can learn, evaluate and purchase items from our network’s designers collections. Fringe Showrooms will be curated by artists of our network, so that the whole presentation becomes a unique spectacle. Also, there is opportunity for our network’s designers to present their designs, which will be presented and sold in Showrooms.

Greek designers in contact with the general public

The Fringe Fashion enables the public to know the new trends and new  Greeks designers,  attend the catwalks,  shop and  attend unique events where fashion and art protagonists . Admission is free so everyone can shop freely.

Athens Fringe Fashion Live 2014

Athens Fringe Fashion 2014, is held twice a year, for 10 days in May and October, at  the surrounding area of Plaka , in very special public and private places .
